A line of fans wrapped around the House of Blues as they waited for doors to open for the Houston stop of Tori Kelly’s Purple Skies Tour. The half-Puerto Rican-Jamaican singer-songwriter sold out the show just hours before she was set to take the stage. Fans interviewed revealed that they had been waiting for her to come back to Houston since her Hiding Place tour in 2018. She didn’t make those fans wait any longer than they had to, as she ended up starting the show ahead of schedule.
María Becerra Ends Her U.S. Tour in Houston
Fans waited for hours outside White Oak Music Hall in the pouring rain for María Becerra’s final U.S. show on her World Tour 24 in Houston, Texas. Houston fans had been waiting for her to visit the city since the release of her first album Animal in 2021. The Argentinian pop star and eight time Latin Grammy nominee started the tour in March in her home country of Argentina where the tour will eventually come to a close. The tour included nine stops in the United States, including three stops in Texas alone, and is set to continue in Mexico.
Ginger Root Brings Retro Back to Houston
Fans in Halloween costumes filled White Oak Music Hall as they waited to see Ginger Root perform the first show in what he called the “Texas week” of his SHINBANGUMI tour. The indie-soul singer decided that Texas was so big that he needed to perform in five different Texas cities in order to please his fans. He wasn’t wrong as, despite there being three consecutive shows happening in the venue on Saturday, his show was still packed to the brim with cheering fans.
MICO Brings His Toronto Charm to Houston
As soon as doors opened, fans rushed into White Oak Music Hall’s Upstairs room to secure their spots for MICO’s first show in Houston. The Filipino-Canadian singer who rose to prominence on TikTok, played three back-to-back shows in Texas starting in Dallas and ending in Houston, where he performed for a sold out crowd of screaming fans. If non-stop touring had any effect on him, you couldn’t tell by his performance. MICO gave his Houston fans a night full of laughter and pure energy, leaving them dancing until their feet hurt.
Sinéad Harnett Plays Her First Sold Out Show in Houston
Fans filled The Bronze Peacock from wall to wall, waiting to see Sinéad Harnett play her first ever show in Houston. While she has done one-off shows in Dallas and LA, her Boundaries Tour marks the Thai-Irish, R&B singer’s first full length tour in the United States, and it was clear Houston fans had been eager to see her since her debut in 2013 as the show was completely sold out.
ARTMS Bring the Heat to Houston
The minute the lights dimmed inside Bayou Music Center, fans were screaming and waving their lightsticks around as they waited for ARTMS to hit the stage. The K-Pop girl group brought their Moonshot World Tour to Houston on Sunday, marking their first time in the city as ARTMS. The three members — JinSoul, Kim Lip, and Choerry — visited the city earlier in the year as the sub-unit ODD EYE CIRCLE and all of the members first came to Houston in 2022 as part of the girl group, LOONA.
FLOW Brings Their Long-Awaited ‘Anime Shibari’ World Tour to Austin
FLOW headbands and rainbow lightsticks filled ACL Live as fans waited in anticipation for Japanese rock band FLOW to hit the stage. The wildly successful band made their stop in Austin for one of the last shows on their Anime Shibari World Tour. The tour is a celebration of the band’s musical contributions to anime with a setlist comprised entirely of songs featured in popular anime.
=LOVE Make Their US Debut at Anime Matsuri
As soon as the doors to Hall A burst open, fans rushed to the stage, eager to secure their spots for the long awaited Saturday night concert. =LOVE, the ten member J-Pop girl group, made their US debut in Houston at Anime Matsuri to thousands of fans, including some who followed them all the way from Japan. The girl group made their first appearance on day two of the four-day anime convention for their fan panel, which was open to all convention goers, but included an autograph session and photo opportunity for certain fans.
Denver Rain Stops Just for Arlo Parks
On a stormy August 8, Denver was drenched in rain but that didn't stop Arlo Parks from performing at the Denver Botanic Gardens as part of their Summer Concert Series. Right before Arlo’s set, the rain halted, appeasing Denver concert-goers and setting the tone for the cool and laid-back night ahead. The grassy slopes of the garden’s stage were covered with people on picnic blankets, lawn chairs, and cozy rain gear eager for the show to start. The English singer-songwriter, known for her soulful blend of indie pop and R&B, had fans sardined into the venue to bear witness to the artist’s talent firsthand.
The Marías Play a Sold-Out Show for Devoted Houston Fans

The show, which was the third Texas appearance on their Submarine World tour, was completely sold out — and it was not hard to tell. Even as the opener began to perform, hundreds of fans were still lining up to enter the venue. By the time the lights dimmed and the intro to “Hamptons" started playing, fans filled the venue from wall to wall, creating an ocean in front of the stage.

The Volunteers Stole the Hearts of Houston
Korean indie rock band The Volunteers stole fans' hearts on Saturday when they performed their first ever show in Houston, Texas. The three member group, made up of lead singer Yerin, guitarist Jonny, and drummer Chiheon, started their first North American tour in Seattle and stopped at the House of Blues in Houston for the tenth show out of twenty six stops. Yerin proudly announced that while she had previously performed in Houston during a solo tour, it was the band’s first time in Houston together and they were excited to meet their Texas fans.
The Volunteers Keeping a Hot Denver Cool This Summer
On a hot July 10th evening, the Korean rock band The Volunteers treated Denver fans to a cool night of music on one of their 2024 North American Tour stops. Fans eagerly waited inside Denver’s Summit Music Hall for the night to kick off. Band members Yerin, Johnny, and Chiheon accompanied by bass player Seungjin took to the stage firing up the crowd. The members greeted and waved to their fans as they entered their first chords of “Velvet Glove” followed by “Crap” which had fans immediately singing and dancing along mesmerized by Yerin’s vocals, Cheheon’s drum skills, and Johnny’s guitar playing.
