After years of careful preparation and emerging from a six-year hiatus, singer-songwriter and producer Jooyoung showcases his journey as an artist, unique artistry, and newfound beginnings with his latest first full-length album Sphere.

Swiftly making a name for himself in the music scene with his official debut in 2010, Jooyoung has been a distinguished name in both South Korea's K-R&B and K-Pop scenes. As he began to rise and achieve significant success, Jooyoung’s artistic vision and the agency’s commercial expectations clashed ahead of his military service, which then turned into a period of deep introspection and re-evaluation of his career direction.

From the release of his first EP From Me to You, to his many impactful solo releases and chart-topping collaborations such as “Planet Girl (feat.pH-1),”  2024 has proven to be just beginning, as Jooyoung promises to redefine the K-R&B landscape with Sphere.

“All I ask of society is for small changes. Sometimes I talk about oppressive customs and absurdities, but it's only when I go beyond all that and talk about life and death that I feel free.”

- Jooyoung on Sphere

Transcending anything like before, Sphere displays the complexities of life, personal struggles with societal norms, criticisms, self-reflection, and promises of tomorrow. Jooyoung’s soulful voice creates the connection of the human experience for all to hear. The 15-track album enlists the voices from both Korea and the U.S. like American singer Kaash Paige, new SM Entertainment artist Jiwoon, rising Korean rapper Ron, and more.

Since the release of Sphere, Jooyoung has stepped into a newfound phase of his career and opened up to his newfound identity as an artist who is unafraid and ready to share his distinctive vision with the world. Looking forward to showing a new side of himself, Jooyoung continues to push further musically and lyrically to tell the stories he’s been waiting so long to share.
