Shining Light on LA: ODD EYE CIRCLE’s Showstopping Performance

Modhaus’s three-member K-Pop girl group, ODD EYE CIRCLE, raised the curtain for their Volume Up World Tour at The Orpheum Theatre in downtown Los Angeles. Fans queued up early, with lines stretching almost outside the venue. Thirty minutes prior to the start time, the two-tiered venue was already filled to capacity. The moment the show began, the entire audience stood up in unison, accompanied by flickering glow sticks and cheers.

The three members of ODD EYE CIRCLE, Kim Lip, JinSoul, and Choerry, each performed opening acts with their respective solo songs. The first to take the stage was Kim Lip with her solo “Eclipse,” dressed in a fashionable white shirt, red plaid schoolgirl skirt, and black knee-high boots. Her dynamic dance during the song caused her long black hair to sway as if every strand was dancing to the rhythm. As she performed through the chorus of her song, the ecstatic cheers from the audience echoed throughout the venue.

Following Kim Lip, JinSoul took the stage with her performance of "Singing in the Rain." She wore a blue plaid schoolgirl skirt paired with this year's trendiest black buckle boots, complemented by her half-tied red long hair, perfectly matching the lively rhythm of the song and exuding a carefree vibe.

Closing the solo performances was Choerry, who paired black motorcycle boots with her purple plaid schoolgirl skirt and glowing golden hair. The solo outfits of the three members seemed to transport the audience back to the stories of high school youth. Choerry's performance of the solo track "Love Cherry Motion'' even reached a point where the crowd’s roars were as loud as the song itself.

Although LA was not the first stop on their tour, ODD EYE CIRCLE showcased distinct hairstyles compared to other cities. With each member undergoing a refreshing change, fans were delighted to see their dedication to providing each city with a unique concert experience.

There was never a dull moment during the show. Even when the members took a break between sets, interactive videos shown on the stage of the members playing charades, practicing their choreography for the show, or showcasing their highlights were enough to make the fans holler. These videos resonated with the audience, making them feel as if they were accompanying ODD EYE CIRCLE on their journey leading up to the tour.

The trio came back on stage for another series of solos. These show-stopping performances were covers of popular songs easily recognizable by fans. The crowd was extremely excited to hear JinSoul’s cover of “Kill Bill” by SZA, Kim Lip’s cover of “Water” by Tyla, and Choerry’s cover of “Don’t Start Now” by Dua Lipa.

After another string of group performances, including songs like “Lucid,” “LOONATIC,” and “Air Force One,” the group was ready to announce their final song of the night: “Sweet Crazy Love.” The energy in the theater went through the roof. Jumping along to the beat, everyone made sure that they sang every lyric to their hearts’ content. As the song came to an end, ODD EYE CIRCLE stood together with glowing smiles, taking in the support from their fans. The cheers continued even as the trio left the stage.

The fans broke into a chant, “ENCORE! ENCORE! ENCORE!” A voice echoed throughout the room: “Maybe they’ll come back out if everyone cheers loud enough.” The fans continued for a brief moment and continued to get louder as three silhouettes made their way to the middle of the stage.

My Secret Playlist,” “Girl Front,” and “Hi High” had the fans screaming at the top of their lungs. Each melody was entrancing, causing everyone to wave their light sticks and dance along. ODD EYE CIRCLE told everyone that “LA [had] added another happy memory [in their lives].” The trio came together to thank everyone for a wonderful night and wanted to commemorate the evening by taking a group photo. With one final bow, ODD EYE CIRCLE certainly left an unforgettable impression on their audience.
