A singer and producer of French-Canadian and West Indian heritage, Alaina Pamela stepped into the spotlight with her debut EP Depth of My Heart on September 15. In this EP, Alaina draws from her own experience to convey the complex cycles of love.

Alaina always loved music. She grew up in Gatineau, Quebec, and honed her vocal talents through performances at church, West Indian celebrations, and student ensembles. However, her journey to becoming an artist hasn’t been straightforward; rather, it’s been coupled with romance.

Alaina's musical journey began when her husband Michael discovered her remarkable voice during a karaoke date early in their relationship which then led them to create voice samples that gained recognition among producers worldwide. In the summer of 2022, Alaina and Michael started making covers and transitioned to creating their original songs in their candlelit studio.

She has undergone extensive vocal training with renowned vocal coach Lis Lewis, who has worked with artists like Rihanna and Alicia Keys. Partnering with Canadian-American producer Michael Kim-Sheng has further pushed her artistic evolution resulting in a distinct musical sound described as "pop mystique."

Serving her Quebecois roots, Alaina kicks off the EP with a mix of French and English, offering a bilingual sensation. She makes it very clear right from the get-go what the album will be talking about by stating, “This is a story about a girl in love with love." The cover of the album also reveals its concept.

Just like there are two sides to a coin, there are two sides to love: One of passion and intensity, symbolized by a blazing fire on the front cover, and the other side of longing and introspection, symbolized by gazing into the soft expanse of the ocean on the back cover.

In reality, Depth of My Heart is a collaborative labor of love and an imprint of love shared between a husband and wife. While Alaina lends her raw and unique voice, her husband Michael marries it with his classical composition background.

Starting with a honeymoon phase in the first and titular song “Depth of my Heart,” the EP shifts into an introspective vibe with “Give Into Me.” Before the EP takes a dark twist, the song “Chance” adds a slow but cathartic chase for love.

It is a late-night love song that explores the possibility of renewal even in the darkest hours of the night. Fun fact: this brand-new track was written, produced, and recorded from the couple's home studio.

Can't Be Your Friend" explores the acceptance that some connections aren't meant to be, and "Feel You Here" touches on moments of loss. "All In My Head" embraces the new feelings of loneliness and sadness that follow. "Give Into Me," "All In My Head," "Feel You Here," and "Can't Be Your Friend"  were pre-released earlier this year, amassing nearly 200,000 streams on Spotify.

Depth of My Heart is available now on all major streaming platforms, offering an unforgettable experience of love, culture, and musical artistry. Don't miss the opportunity to discover the depth of Alaina Pamela's heart in this remarkable debut EP.
