Nikitaa’s New Song “Elevator” Showcases Queer Empowerment

Music has been a strong medium of expression and empowerment. It has given many the voice to speak about their struggles, experiences, and journey. The LGBTQIA+ community has always strived to find their voice and gain their rightful place in society. Musicians from the LGBTQIA+ community have carved a space for themselves and lent their voices to the endeavors of the community.

One musician who has been a strong champion of inclusivity and representation is Nikitaa, who released their latest single “Elevator” on April 26, 2024.

“Elevator” is an anthem of empowerment and a celebration of Nikitaa’s journey as a demisexual and genderfluid individual. The song samples synth and pop, casting a beautiful glow of vocal echo.

Talking about the song, Nikitaa adds, “This song is a manifestation tool. It's about harnessing your inner power and manifesting your dreams into reality. Whether you're chasing success, love, or self-discovery, 'Elevator' is your ticket to the top — because the power to build your dreams lies within you.”

Prior to this single, Nikitaa also released “Heaven” in February and “Godless” in March.

Nikitaa is an Indian-born and raised artist currently based in Los Angeles, USA. They create music they like to call “Goddess Pop,” an eclectic fusion of their South Asian heritage with pop and R&B music influences. They have been a champion of giving voice to the queer community in the music industry. Nikitaa also plans to release an EP soon.
