Make ‘ROOM’ for LIM YOUNG MIN: Former ‘Produce 101’ Contestant Makes His Solo Debut
After a long hiatus, LIM YOUNG MIN emerged as a soloist in the Korean music scene on August 29 with his debut EP ROOM. ROOM narrates a personal journey of love, longing, and new beginnings.

The rapper and singer-songwriter under BRANDNEW-A is known for participating in the second season of the musical survival show Produce 101 in 2017. He finished in 15th place overall but garnered attention for his exceptional talent and unique style. Along with Produce 101's eliminated trainee Kim Dong Hyun, he debuted in the duo MXM in 2017. In 2018, LIM YOUNG MIN participated in a one-time four-member project boy group created by Starship Entertainment and Brand New Music called YDPP. He is also a former member of the boy group AB6IX.
Comprised of four tracks, ROOM begins by encapsulating feelings of anguish while conveying an awaited confession. It then moves on to feelings of worry and excitement about a new relationship. This EP genuinely expresses YOUNG MIN’s artistic vision since he participated in composition and writing.

Kicking it off with “LET ME OUT,” this track sets the stage for unspoken emotions and struggles with a confession. We believe it is about hesitating to make the move and the desire to be ‘let out’ of this feeling.
The title track, "IN MY ROOM," captures the essence of solitude and introspection, evoking a sense of vulnerability that anyone who has experienced the throes of love can relate to. It has already garnered more than two million views on YouTube within four days of its release. The song has opened up to positive reviews as fans have been showering the comments section with congratulatory messages on LIM YOUNG MIN’s much-awaited solo debut.
"BROKEN WINGS" explores the fragility of new connections, touching on the insecurities and excitement that accompany the early stages of a relationship. Finally, "다시" (AGAIN) brings the EP to a close, offering a glimpse of hope and the possibility of a fresh start.
