J-Pop Singer LOAR Returns with Much Anticipated Single “Tell Me What’s On Your Mind”

Indie J-Pop artist LOAR is finally making a comeback with a new single. The singer, who has songs like “Cause I’m With You” and “Arinomamanofutari” to his name, is set to release an original composition across music streaming platforms.

On February 12, 2025, LOAR will release his first single of 2025, “Tell Me What’s On Your Mind.” He collaborated with producer FOFU, who has been a long-time collaborator with the musician. The song is a smooth groovy trap soul number that comes as a request to one’s lover to open up their mind. It comes a year and a half later after “Too Hard To Say” was released on August 15, 2023. Read the press release here.

Influenced by artists like PARTYNEXTDOOR and TANK, LOAR delves into genres like R&B, Afrobeats, and modern R&B styles like trap soul, to seamlessly create a harmony of vocals and music with each offering. Over the past year, LOAR has been working actively with artists like BE:FIRST, Number_i, Kang Daniel, and MAZZEL

BE:FIRST’s latest and sixth single “Spacecraft” involves LOAR in the song-making whereas MAZZEL’s debut EP, releasing on February 17th, will feature LOAR as the songwriter for its title track “J.O.K.E.R.”

HALSUG had the chance to chat with LOAR back in 2022 about his music and his work. Read the exclusive interview here.
