Interview: Fahlithh's Journey from Dreaming to Debuting
Thai singer and songwriter Fahlithh considers her music an introspective world. She allowed herself to find freedom in her music by being true to herself, and she hopes that others alike can find that freedom for themselves. HALSUG had the opportunity to chat with the Thai indie-pop artist about her musical journey, gaining insight into her experiences, goals, and work process.
Q: Next month marks a year since your debut! How does it feel?
Aha! I love this question. I have so many things to tell. First of all, I want to say thank you to everyone who trusts and believes in me. It’s been very fulfilling for my heart and made me daring enough to release my 1st single, “ไม่อยากโกหก (Evil-minded),” which allowed people to know me as “Fahlithh.” This year has been an amazing year! I’ve had many opportunities, made new connections, and started something new. Most importantly, I want to thank myself for getting out of my safe zone. xoxo
Q: What are some goals you’ve set before your debut & have you achieved any of them?
I always knew I wanted to become an artist. But, I actually didn't have any specific goals in mind. It all began when I had to work on my final project before graduation. Along the way, I had P'TINN's guidance and support which helped me understand myself better. Together, we created a song called "ไม่อยากโกหก (Evil-minded)," and it turned out perfectly. It became my debut single! I was able to break out of my safe zone and finally debut.
Q: How has your upbringing influenced your decision to pursue music? Did you grow up around any musicians or singers?
Interesting question! As far back as I can remember, I grew up in a family that was passionate about music, and I listened to music all the time. I found myself falling in love with music the more I absorbed myself with it.
Q. When do you work best when working on music?
I cannot tell you what time I'm most productive, but I know I perform my best when I am relaxed, not overthinking, and feeling refreshed. This allows me to fully concentrate.
Q. Do you have any future plans to collaborate with other artists? Do you have any dream collaborations?
Yessssss! My only one and forever is Billie Eilish, but it’s just a dream lol.
Q. What’s your work style like? Do you prefer to come up with concepts and ideas by yourself or do you have a team that helps you with the process?
Actually, I always have ideas and concepts in my head. I have to translate it, make a draft, and try to make it as simple as possible to make the work process easy. Yes, I have a team. I cannot finish and make it perfect without them. Everybody is so important to me, and I hope to work with them together in my long journey.

Q. You described your sound to be similar to Billie Eilish. Is she one of your idols? If not, which artists do you look up to most?
My voice, mindset, attitude, style, and character are similar to Billie’s, so it’s like I’m looking in a mirror. She is my idol, and I love her so much. She makes me feel like I’m not weird, and being myself is not wrong. Every time I listen to her music and voice, I feel safe and comforted knowing I have people like me in the world. That is why she is my idol.
Q. Are there any music-related techniques or skills you wish to learn?
I don’t have anything in particular, but I want to keep learning & developing my overall ability as an artist.
Q. What would you like to have accomplished 5 years from now?
1. Be successful in my career
2. Have toured in various places
3. Have my very own concert
