CIX Makes a Stunning Comeback With Their Single Album ‘0 or 1’

After almost seven months, K-Pop group CIX makes a comeback with the single album, 0 or 1. This single album consists of two tracks: “Lovers or Enemies” and “My name is shadow.” It was released on January 24, 2024, signaling the start of CIX’s activities for the year.

The group’s last release was “OK Episode 2: I’m OK,” the concluding EP of the “OK” series, which spoke about the transition and adjusting to adulthood from a young age. 0 or 1 talks about the doubt and ambiguity in a lover's relationship. The title track, “Lovers or Enemies,” poses a question about the future of a love relationship. The song employs futuristic musical tones, complete with robotic voices and acoustic guitar strums, which adds to the listening value of the track.

The next track, “My name is shadow,” is a heartfelt ballad with a clear focus on the vocals. The music only works to add a cushion for the emotive lyrics sung by the members. The soft instrumentals in the background add a feeling of nostalgia to the track.

The title of this single album, 0 or 1 is apt for it signals that the members are trying to guess if a love relationship will happen or not. Will it be nothing? Or will it be something? This single album also signals the start of a new chapter in CIX’s discography. After dealing with the trials of adulthood in their “OK” series, the group turns to mature themes like love, romance, and heartbreak with 0 or 1.
