BANG YE-DAM Drops Pre-Release Single “Miss You” Ahead of Solo Debut Mini-Album
Former TREASURE member, Bang Ye-Dam has released his first solo single under new label GF Entertainment. On October 30 it was announced by his new company that the singer would be re-debuting with a solo album at the end of November,with a pre-release single titled “Miss You” to be released on November 10.
At the end of 2022, Bang Ye-Dam’s old company, YG Entertainment, announced his departure from the now 10-member group TREASURE. The statement shared that his reasoning for leaving both the group and company was so that he could focus on his career as a producer, which has now led him to become a singer-songwriter.

From the beginning of his musical career, Bang Ye-Dam always expressed an interest in writing and producing his own music and sound. Before TREASURE’s debut, he was allowed to release a solo single titled “WAYO,” an acoustic, R&B track showcasing his amazing vocals. The song attracted a lot of new fans to not only him, but to TREASURE as well, as the group’s debut was only a month after the release of “WAYO.”
Fast forward three years later, Bang Ye-Dam re-introduces his own personal sound with “Miss You,” a soft piano ballad once more showcasing his beautiful smooth vocals. The track depicts the feeling of love, heartbreak, and that feeling of yearning for someone after they have gone. You can tell how much passion and work has gone into it from the first listen, and its melody will keep you looping the song on repeat.
Overall, it is a great start to Bang Ye-Dam’s solo career that also leaves a lot of room for the excitement and curiosity of how the rest of his solo work will sound, as ballads are something he is quite known for. It’ll be interesting to see his solo take on a more up-beat style.
His debut album, whose title is yet to be released, will be out on all streaming platforms on November 23. It will feature six songs including “Miss You,” and aims to showcase the different sides of Bang Ye-Dam not only as a singer but as a producer as well.
