Weeekly Leaves LA in ‘BLISS’ as They Close Out Their North American Tour
Closing out their nine-stop <WU (Weeekly University)> tour, Weeekly made their way to the iconic Teragram Ballroom to meet their LA fans.
With the night underway, Weeekly came out with outfits following the concept of their tour, “university style,” with the members first wearing graduation gowns to varsity jackets displaying the words “Weeekly University.” Alongside this, they started with performances of “Good Day,” “Tag Me (@Me),” and a medley of their songs “Zig Zag” and “Holiday Party.” They continued on speaking with the audience in between songs, and you could tell the energy between Weeekly and their fans was strong as the room began to shake as it filled with cheers for the girls. The members continued on asking each other questions relating to the tour and Los Angeles, with some mentioning what they were most excited for on their LA stop and even some TMI of how their tour has been going.
Soon it was onto their next stages of “Twenties” and the iconic, “After School,” which had the crowd ecstatic. Not only this, but the members had also prepared a series of VCRs to watch in between their sets. One of the notable VCRs was of a faux night show, in which the members were asked questions about themselves and the tour, ultimately building a tighter bond with everyone in the room. Weeekly continued on to perform other fan favorites like “Hello,” “LIGHTS ON,” and “Dance Dance Dance!,” which was well-received by everyone as they cheered.
However, one of the highlights from the concert was their cover of “One Last Time” by Ariana Grande. Taking a break from their more refreshing concepts, this cover felt like a gateway into showcasing Weeekly's other strengths as idols. Their angelic voices filled the room and soon everyone was speechless.
As the night came to a close, Weeekly made sure that everyone had fun, and the response they received shook the whole venue. They closed out their set with “Classic,” “Backwards,” and “Stranger (English Version).” They once again thanked fans for coming and ensured they would be back in LA as they left the stage.
Yet, no one wanted the night to be over, and they continued chanting Weeekly’s name and “encore” to help entice the members to come back and it worked. The members, now rocking tour merchandise, were now ready to perform “Page” and “Top Secret” as the last two performances. As they sang along and interacted with their audience, you could tell that the last stop of their tour was truly one to remember, and we cannot wait to see what is next for the girls!
