It’s safe to say Ari Abdul will always be welcomed in Denver. Embarking on her God’s Watching tour in 2024, Ari’s fifth stop in Denver, CO at The Bluebird Theater on March 12 was filled with brimming excitement from fans who were eagerly lined up hours before doors opened. Hailing from Brooklyn, New York, the 23-year-old singer-songwriter grew up with Ecuadorian, Costa Rican, and Palestinian parents who shared their passion for Latin and classic rock music and brothers who adored hip-hop and metal music. And now? Influenced by the greats in music and encouraged by family and friends, Ari made her debut single in February 2022 and developed a large following of listeners thanks to TikTok.

Ari and fellow performer
Isabel LaRosa started the night with a VIP meet and greet session where they took the time to engage and snap pictures with fans. Ari had fans coming back around to ask her to sign more items, and she happily obliged. This interaction set the tone for the concert to come.

Isabel LaRosa didn’t disappoint in hyping up the crowd in preparation for Ari’s performance. She had fans jumping up and down and screaming lyrics. Then it was time for Ari to take the stage. If you couldn’t feel the vibrations of the music, you could feel it from the screaming fans ecstatic to see Abdul. Ari sang multiple songs from her arsenal such as “Taste and “Worship, setting the atmosphere for the night. Ari grabbed fans’ phones and took videos and photos of herself while singing. During a break, fans screamed for her to play her hit track, “Babydoll.” She responded to them letting them know she had other songs too and asked if the crowd wanted to hear those as well — the response was an overwhelming, collective scream.

The night was flooded with lots of red lighting and fog. Ari Abdul’s music is very entrancing, seductive and atmospheric. Ari talked to the crowd and thanked them for coming out. She let everyone know that the members of the LaRosa family were the ones who got her into singing her own music. She then went back into performing songs such as “Sinner” and “Bored,” with the latter being a little more upbeat than the songs she performed throughout the night. She then took another break to shout out a fan for knowing all the lyrics. Ari then performed her latest release “DFHMPU.” Despite being a newer release, fans proudly sang the lyrics and danced amongst each other.

Ari finished the night out with what fans had been asking for, an exceptional performance of “Babydoll.” Fans were in an uproar. They sang, screamed lyrics, jumped up and down, and some cried, only to be surprised with Isabel LaRosa coming out to sing it with Ari. This was the perfect ending to a perfect performance. There was not a single lull in the crowd or performance the whole night. Ari knows how to capture and keep the attention of the audience from the minute she walks on stage to the minute she walks off. While performing, she glowed in the red lighting and aura of pure talent and confidence. As she walked off the stage, fans audibly expressed how sad they were that it was over. It’s safe to say Ari Abdul will always be welcomed in Denver.
