slchld’s Heartfelt Performance Brings Passion and Connection to LA

In the midst of his APOLOGY tour, slchld, pronounced as “Seoul Child,” performed in Los Angeles, California to give an intimate and passionate show. The Korean-Canadian, R&B, and alternative singer-songwriter slchld held a heartfelt set for his fans in LA.

Before the start of the show, many devoted fans waited outside for slchld, anticipating the long-awaited night. Soon, the concert began with an opening performance by the K-Indie band duo PRYVT. They performed one of their most popular songs “if it’s not you,” and the crowd was so ecstatic, as they waved their phone flashlights in the air, immersing themselves into the performance. The venue was filled with voices by the artist and the crowd as many fans present had sung along to PRYVT’s music. Shortly after, it was time for slchld to hit the stage and the crowd couldn't be more thrilled to hear songs from his previous albums and latest release, APOLOGY.

As slchld entered the stage, he started with his song CARE” from his album APOLOGY. Fans were euphoric at the sound of his voice. They all joined in on the song, singing along with him to the upbeat and heartfelt nature of the song. Throughout the show, he sang some of his top hits such as “you wont be there for me,” “she likes spring, I prefer winter,” and many more songs from previous single releases and his latest APOLOGY album. Fans rejoiced as they heard some of their favorite slchld songs.

The close-knit setting of the venue yielded many fan interactions. Throughout his performance, slchld made sure to always interact with fans, creating deeper bonds with them. When a fan asked about his favorite food, he candidly responded with "kimchi," but quickly added that the East Coast kimchi wasn’t the best. This personal touch resonated with the crowd, who laughed and applauded his honesty — a touching moment followed when a fan gave him a Sonny Angel figurine, which he gratefully accepted, showing his appreciation for the thoughtful gesture.

As the evening unfolded, slchld continued to deliver his signature style infused with raw emotion. After the song “maybe we need a break” from a previous EP modern breakups, the crowd cheered so loud that slchld said, “My ears are bleeding” in such a heartfelt tone. Towards the show’s finale, slchld sang his hit song “APOLOGY” from APOLOGY as fans sang along to the song and cheered enthusiastically for slchld at the end of the show. The crowd’s energy was so high throughout the night, leaving slchld very grateful, creating a night to remember. It was a bittersweet moment where slchld and his fans connected intimately with interactions and music.
