P1Harmony Meet Their BFFs in Nashville

After the release of their fifth mini-album, Keeho, Theo, Jiung, Intak, Soul, and Jongseob have made their way back to the U.S. for their second tour, P1ONEER, to “always show P1ECE (their fans) the new way and the new sound.”

Like many other K-Pop concerts, P1ONEER began with dimmed lights, multi-colored P1ECE Sirens (the group’s official light stick), and the deafening screams of P1ECE as the opening VCR began to play. As the fans continued cheering, the boys walked onto the stage in captivating black leather jackets, and Intak grabbed P1ECE’s attention by shouting, “Are you ready, Nashville?!?” as they began the concert with “Look At Me Now."

Next, were two fan-favorites “Back Down” and “Scared,” before they took a moment to introduce themselves with their well-known introduction phrase, “Plus Everything. Hello, we are P1Harmony." The boys took turns introducing themselves, thanking P1ECE for coming to see them when, in Keeho’s words, they “could have be at home watching Rihanna” as it was also the night of the Superbowl.  After acknowledging that they were the first K-Pop group to perform at the Grand Ole Opry, the boys slowed things down with a song they had released last August, titled “나도 그래 (Me Too),” before picking the venue’s energy back up with “Doom Du Doom,” “End It,” and “Black Hole."

P1ECE enjoyed the members' solo and group unit stages. First, Theo covered DEAN's 2016 release “21”, Soul performed his solo rendition of Jung Joonil’s “Hug Me,” Keeho slayed a cover of Beyoncé’s “Deja Vu,” and the group unit consisting of Keeho, Jiung, and Soul covered Michael Jackson’s “Love Never Felt So Good.” Last was the highly anticipated rap unit stage that featured Intak and Jongseob who engaged in a back and forth trade off of high-speed, articulate and intense rap bars—which was well received by P1ECE as deafening screams filled all three tiers of the venue, yet again.

As Intak and Jongseob took a moment to change, Keeho, Theo, and Jiung arrived on stage in streetwear to greet P1ECE, once again, and talk about their solo and group unit stages. But where was Soul? Keeho asked, “P1ECE, do you miss Soul? If you call for him, I bet he’ll come out here.”  P1ECE’s cheers of Soul’s name quickly filled the three-tiered venue in hopes of seeing his return to the stage.  When Soul returned, the boys began talking about Soul and Theo’s solo stages—which sparked Jiung’s desire to show off a “country song he had been practicing.” This was followed by Jiung asking, “P1ECE, do you know Home on the Range?” He then began a beautiful rendition of “Home on the Range,” which displayed just how versatile he is as a vocalist. After Intak and Jongseob joined to discuss their unit stage, the show was continued with more popular tracks, including their debut song “Siren,” “Mirror Mirror,” and “Follow Me.” The boys then slowed things down with “Gotta Get Back,” a hit song they worked on with Pink Sweat$.

It was apparent that P1Harmony was going to continue to have fun with their BFFs until the end of the show as the most anticipated song of the night began. As the boys began singing “BFF (Best Friends Forever)”, P1ECE’s voices filled the venue with enough emotion that anyone could understand the heartfelt lyrics they were singing to their BFFs, P1Harmony.

Deafening screams filled the venue once more, as the intro to one of the most anticipated stages started to play, “Nemonade.” During this stage, the venue experienced technical difficulties as the track stopped playing, which caused P1Harmony and P1ECE to finish the song acapella style—and the boys’ mics were clearly on as they performed the rest of the song with outstanding vocals! “In two years, this has never happened. At least you knew we were singing live, right?” Keeho mentioned, followed by a small chuckle. Because the boys wanted to “put on the best show possible,” they chose to perform “Nemonade” again, followed by the not-so-secret-stage of ”Secret Sauce,” and the anthem-like sound of “Do It Like This.”

Sadly, there were only two more stages remaining, “Breakthrough” and “Speaker,”  before the encore. As the encore started, the boys were filled with happiness as they started their last segment of the night, “P1AY Harmony.” This segment started with the performance of “One and Only” as the group made their way through the aisles, receiving gifts and interacting with P1ECE, before making their way back to the stage to end the night “AYAYA” and “That’s It.”
