On Sunday, November 6, Mark Tuan performed at El Rey Theater in Los Angeles for the final stop of his sold-out The Other Side tour. Even though Los Angeles was the last stop of the tour, it was a very special stop because LA is his hometown. Tuan had two sold-out shows, and he resides in the neighboring city of Arcadia, California. Prior to the show starting, Tuan’s fans were lined up hours before doors opened. Before fans could enter the venue, they heard Tuan doing a soundcheck, which excited his fans even more. As doors opened, many made their way to their spots in the venue in preparation for Tuan to hit the stage. When Tuan finally hit the stage, the crowd roared so loud that you could feel the room vibrate!

Tuan opened the show with “Save Me” from his EP The Other Side. He then went on to perform “Last Breath” and “Let U Go.” On the balcony, all his family and friends were present in support of him. In Tuan’s introduction, he thanked his family and friends for being there and his loyal fans for their continuous support. He also asked the crowd where they were from, and many shouted “South Korea,” “San Diego,” “Thailand,” and “Arcadia.” Additionally, during the show, a Tuanzy yells, “I’ll give you my paycheck if you ask for it,” to which Tuan responds, “I’m not gonna ask for your paycheck. It’s enough that you’re here tonight. That’s enough for me.”

As the show continued, he had the crowd dancing and jumping to “Change Up.” Many of his songs were performed solo, but he had choreography with backup dancers for a few songs. The crowd showed their love for the choreography by cheering and screaming. As the night went on, the crowd grew in energy, and Tuan acknowledged his fans who brought their GOT7 lightstick by saying, “You guys brought your ahgabongs?” Tuan also acknowledged all the different light sticks in the room, which included Seventeen, ATEEZ, Stray Kids, Enhypen, and fan-made goods. Tuan then mentioned that he had also recently attended one of Enhypen’s shows. During the encore, the atmosphere was so hyped up by cheering and jumping. Surprisingly, Tuan jumped into the crowd and sang while held by Tuanzys.

Mark and the crowd ended the night on an energetic note, and many were prepared for the second day. Still, for those who can’t attend, Mark reassured his LA crowd that he would indeed be back for another tour. Until he returns on tour, you can listen to Mark’s EP “The Other Side” on various streaming platforms.
