keshi Drops Deluxe Version of ‘Requiem’ Featuring Three New Songs

In the midst of his 2024-2025 world tour, Vietnamese American singer-songwriter keshi has released three brand new songs on a deluxe version of his sophomore album Requiem. After teasing these tracks on his Instagram, the new version of the album released with Disc 1 consisting of the original 13 song line-up and Disc 2 comprised of a track from the bonus edition version of the album, “Kiss Me Right,” and the three new songs: “Forever,” “Inside Out,” and “I Choose You.” Despite these tracks coming out five months after the original album release, they are a perfect continuation of the ‘soft boy keshi’ atmosphere that came from the original album.

The first of the new tracks, “Forever,” is the epitome of a longing ballad. A dreamy pop song, the chorus is a repetition of “I wanna feel like this forever / I wanna feel like this forever / I wanna feel like this forever / Won’t you show me how / I just wanna feel,” and the melody is a simple, gentle backing to keshi’s incredible vocals. It’s easy to picture this song echoing through arenas with everyone’s phone flashlights in the air, swaying back and forth as keshi sings into the mic.

Serving as the pseudo title track for these releases, “Inside Out” is the only song of the three with a music video. In the video, we follow keshi and his band on a train car as they perform the song, giving the visual of a dream-like sequence that can come from staring out a window while listening to music. The track begins with a gentle guitar riff which swells into a full band melody as it progresses. Lyrically, this is a love song to the T. With lines like “I try to run away and end up racing towards you,” “My heart is where you take it / I’m home when you’re around no matter what the place is,” and “It's you, baby, you're all that I could think about / You, baby, you got me turnin' inside out,” the adoration, care, and tenderness that keshi holds towards the subject of the song is palpable, and you can literally see him singing with a bright smile on his face throughout the music video.

“I Choose You” is the last song of the new additions, and is more on the acoustic side of the spectrum like “Forever.” The romantic feeling from the other two songs flows perfectly into this one, with a gentle guitar riff and light piano music accompanying the soft lyrics. This track is like wedding vows in song form, especially the lyrics of the bridge: “No matter what it takes / I'm stayin' anyway (Hmm) / Through good and bad, you know that / Baby, I'll forever, and always, choosе you.”

These new additions bring an extra soft side to keshi’s discography, giving fans more “being in love” anthem songs to sing along to. With his worldwide tour in full swing again after the holidays, it’s only a matter of time before these tracks become staples on his setlist. Catch keshi on tour throughout 2025!
