KARD’S BM Has a Steamy Night With Chicago’s Hidden KARD
Soloist and K-Pop group KARD member BM’s After The After Party tour is a unique, 21+ event created by Konnect’d Entertainment. They describe it as, “an escape from the typical K-Pop concert scene”’ and “tailored to an adult crowd.” Along with the event being exclusively 21+, this is also an unprecedented no photos allowed event. Upon entering, everyone’s phones were zip tied into a durable bag that allowed texting and communication but blocked photo taking. However, no phones were needed as the lenses would have fogged up from BM’s hot and steamy performances.
Openers Uzuhan and sunkis warmed up the Chicago crowd with a taste of what was to come. sunkis sang a special serenade of his hit track “Top Tier” to one attendee that was brought onstage as well as performing some of his TikTok viral songs “Trust Me” and “Like I Do.”
Following sunkis' lead, after opening with “ATAP,” “Bad Intentions,” and “Motion,” BM called one lucky fan up onstage. After confirming she wasn’t there to celebrate any special event, he remarked, “I’m going to give you something to celebrate,” before performing a risqué Magic Mike-esque lap dance.
As everyone settled down from the saucy opening numbers, BM showed off his vocal abilities in his more emotional, alt-rock-styled tracks “LIE” and his first digital single “Broken Me.” He also treated the audience to an unreleased track which he promised to upload to SoundCloud after the tour. The energy quickly picked back up with fan favorites “Loyalty” and “Badgirl Badboy,” featuring fellow KARD member SOMIN.
BM declared that the next portion of the show would be the most entertaining — and boy was he right. Three members from his fanbase ‘Hidden KARD’ joined him onstage to partake in a ‘Twerk Battle’ judged by the audience. Everyone competing, as well as the audience, was immensely supportive of each participant. The lack of phones and encouraging environment created a safe space for the fans to have fun and just enjoy themselves onstage. The winner, chosen by the raucous cheers from the spectators, received a jersey signed by BM with his memorable catchphrase ‘Big Tiddie Gang’ across the front, along with his personal sunglasses that he had been wearing during the concert. All participants were able to take a photo with BM, which considering the nature of the event, was maybe the biggest prize of all.
The last portion of the concert saw BM showcasing shortened versions of his featured tracks. He included Icky from his K-Pop group KARD, Korean-American rapper Jessi’s “Put it on ya,” and a song, which in BM’s words is going ‘stupid viral,’ “RSVP.”
As the show was coming to a close, BM opened up about his previous worries appearing as 1/4 of a group regarding ticket sales and how thankful he was that all of the fans really showed out for this tour. He ended with club hits “Body Movin,” “13IVI,” and “Loyalty,” followed by the crowd requesting a repeated performance of “Motion.” With multiple undergarments being thrown onto the stage, the concert ended on as hot of a note as it began.
