HEAL Together with The Rose in Dallas
On Thursday, November 3rd, Korean pop-rock band The Rose made their long-awaited return to Dallas, Texas. Since their last US tour in 2019, their fanbase has grown tremendously. The way the 4,000-capacity venue was filled to the brim was a testament to their growth over the past few years. The night was a special one–not only was it a celebration of The Rose’s return, but it was also bassist Jaehyeong’s 28th birthday.
The start of the show was unexpectedly emotional, with the band playing songs “Definition of ugly is,” “Insomnia,” and “She’s In The Rain,” all back to back. The audience sang along with tears in their eyes, and Woosung even acknowledged the emotions in the room during the second half of the show when they played another run of sadder tracks. However, the evening was still a happy one! The Rose soon had the crowd jumping and dancing to their more upbeat hits like “RED” and “Candy (so good).” Both band and fans mirrored each other in the sheer joy that lit up every face in the venue.
The radiant atmosphere grew even brighter when Jaehyeong’s birthday was announced on the screen, and the audience was quick to sing their wishes. Wearing a birthday sash and crown handed to the members by a fan, Jaehyeong happily thanked the crowd, adding, “I will never, never, never forget this night.” With an encore of “Sour,” a single from their recent album HEAL, and “Black Rose,” a moving song named after the fandom, the night came to an end. Dallas’ Black Roses are already looking forward to the next time The Rose visits the city–until then, keep up with the band’s antics on TikTok and keep listening to HEAL.
