Gen Z Icon TOMORROW X TOGETHER Releases 6th Mini Album “minisode 3: TOMORROW”

TOMORROW X TOGETHER, most commonly known as TXT, have released their long-anticipated 6th mini album: minisode 3: TOMORROW. The K-Pop boy group, consisting of members: Soobin, Yeonjun, Beomgyu, Taehyun, and Hueningkai, debuted back in March 2019 and over time have cemented themselves as a voice for this generation. TXT’s soundtrack shares the common thoughts, feelings, and experiences shared by today’s generation, having debuted only a year before the COVID pandemic started; a lot of their fans have grown together with the group in a very unique way.

The album’s lead single “Deja Vu” is described as a hybrid-pop track that brings TOMORROW X TOGETHER’s unique sentimentality with a surge of their youthful energy. The track is fused with many elements of different genres, such as trap, rage, and one that they have dabbled in before and is a fan favorite, emo rock. All these genres tie in perfectly with the music video, as it depicts the group's journey as they run back to try and collect memories and find their way to one another again. As expected of TOMORROW X TOGETHER, they continue to serve fans with amazing music videos, combining stunning visuals that capture the storytelling perfectly while showing off the members’ acting skills that we have seen progress over the last five years. It is safe to say that any music video they release has always left fans feeling as if they have just watched a short film.

minisode 3: TOMORROW ties in with the group’s previous sagas such as minisode 2: Thursday’s Child, released in 2022, and minisode 1: Blue Hour, released in October 2020. The group has thought everything out, and as expected, the lead single for the album “Deja Vu” weaves into their previous music. With the lyric in the track saying, ‘I ran away countless times,’ many fans have tied it into their previous song “Run Away,” which was the lead single for their first-ever comeback in The Dream Chapter: MAGIC in 2019. As soon as we step into the second track of the recent album, we get hit with another wave of nostalgia as the use of Morse code that was first ever heard in their debut single “CROWN” is heard yet again, reminding everyone not only that their story continues but that they’ll always look back and remember where they first started five years ago.

The album consists of seven amazing tracks, two of them being the first ever hyung (older brother) unit song titled “The Killa (I Belong to You)” featuring the two oldest members, Yeonjun and Soobin, and the first ever maknae (younger brother) unit song, “Quarter Life,” which features the youngest three members, Beomgyu, Taehyun, and Hueningkai. Since the album’s release at the start of the week, it has amounted to over six million streams on Spotify, the biggest for any group this year so far, and the music video for “Deja Vu” now has over 26 million views on YouTube, with 18.9 million views within the first 24 hours. Overall, it is panning out to be an amazing comeback for TOMORROW X TOGETHER, and it seems that it will only get better from here as the group is gearing up to go on the road once more on their world tour ACT: PROMISE with the U.S. leg of the shows starting on May 14.
