On August 3, Jellyfish Entertainment announced the new seven-member boy group, EVNNE. The members consist of Park Hanbin, Lee Jeonghyeon, Mun Junghyun, Park Jihoo, Yoo Seungeon, Ji Yunseo, and Keita — all former contestants of the Mnet survivor program BOYS PLANET. 

Park Hanbin and Park Jihoo:

Pronounced as “even” — standing for “EVENing’s Newest Etoiles” — it carries the meaning of “a new rising star in the night sky, shining the brightest at the highest place and catching everyone’s attention.” Although the group has not started official promotions, the world is already excited.

Yoo Seungeon and Ji Yunseo:

Here are five things we already know and love about EVNNE in anticipation of their debut: 

1. They’re a multilingual group with six out of seven members speaking at least more than one language including English, Japanese, and Chinese speakers. EVNNE’s language abilities were previously showcased on BOYS PLANET, and we can’t wait to see how they’ll interact with international fans! 
   
   

2. They’re all-rounders! We know that EVNNE is multitalented — having producers, writers, and composers among them. We hope to see their involvement in the writing, producing, and even choreography stages of their future comebacks! 
   
   

3. They’ll rock any concept given to them! The members performed so many different stages on BOYS PLANET so we know that they’ll be able to perform any concept given to them. 
   
   

4. Since the end of BOYS PLANET, Keita has had the opportunity to release his collaboration with pH-1 titled “Metronome.” Hopefully, we will get to see more solo activities from EVNNE members in the future as they collaborate with other artists and highlight their individual talents. We know that fans will love to see them shine just as bright with the group and on their own. 

   
   

5. The EVNNE members are such hard workers who have waited to debut for so long! With most of them having already been on a previous survival show or pre-debut group, we are so happy to see that all their hard work has paid off! We can’t wait for their debut and all the amazing things that are to come!

EVNNE’s debut date is yet to be announced but for now, you can keep up with them on their social media accounts. We will continue to support EVNNE and wish that the group will have a successful debut.
