DXMON Gets Candid About Their Debut, Songs, and More

The month of January 2024 saw the rise of new K-Pop groups. With new styles, new concepts, and brand-new music, these groups promised to deliver a never-before-seen experience to their listeners. One of these newly debuted groups is DXMON

DXMON is a six-member group under SSQ Entertainment. On January 17, 2024, the group debuted with their first mini album, Hyperspace, containing the pre-debut track “Burn Up,” the title track “Spark,” and B-side tracks “N.W.B.” and “Very.” Each track reflects a new side to DXMON’s creativity as up-and-coming artists in the K-Pop world. The group taps into hip-hop, rap, electro, and techno genres as they step into the world of K-Pop music. Not just with music, but with their outfits, the group has managed to spark interest among the K-Pop fan community. Just around their debut, the group sat down to have a heart-to-heart about their debut and their aspirations for the days to come. Despite the late hour, the group was as enthusiastic as ever to answer the questions energetically!

Q: The tracks on the mini-album Hyperspace are quite sonically different. Which song do you think represents DXMON's identity as a group the best?

REX: I think the title track of the debut EP, "Burn Up," represents our group identity the best as it encompasses all of our passion and energy.

Q: Since your trainee days until now, after you've made your debut, what has changed in your life so far?

JO: Before our debut, we dedicated most of our time to the practice room as trainees. However, after making our debut, we now have a variety of schedules to attend, allowing us to spend more time outside the practice room. This change has made things much more interesting.

REX: As trainees, we limited our talent showcases to within the company, confined to the practice room walls. Now, after our debut, we can showcase our talents to our fans, and it is very exciting.
