Opening up his U.S. leg of his LUCID DREAMS tour at the legendary House of Blues in Anaheim, California, singer-songwriter BoyWithUke was sure to leave a memorable impression on his sold-out crowd. Rising to fame in 2021 on TikTok with his song “Toxic,” BoyWithUke has only been making waves in the music industry as one of the most popular faceless (former) artists on social media, amassing over 8 million followers on TikTok and Instagram. The Korean American artist has also been able to work with artists like blackbear and be the tour opener for AJR’s OK Orchestra tour in 2022.

Before BoyWithUke graced the House of Blues Stage, opener Naethan Apollo hyped up the crowd with his charismatic energy and unique voice. He told stories of how his songs came to be which the crowd cheered for as they were performed. Naethan performed songs including “You’re Not Welcome” off of his Tales of Cazilor album, and the popular single “Pretty Boy.” As his set came to a close, he thanked the audience for singing along with him, and it was clear the mood was all prepped up for BoyWithUke.

In due time, the lights dimmed and the crowd erupted in cheers as BoyWithUke ran onto the stage with his iconic face mask and white hoodie to start the night off with his songs “Lucid (interlude)” and “Rockstar.” Immediately, fans were smiling ear to ear and singing along with the artist. As he captivated the audience, BoyWithUke expressed his gratitude to those who came out and sold out the first show of his U.S. tour.

Midway through the set, BoyWithUke removed his mask, unveiling a smile to his fans.

Marking the halfway point of his concert, BoyWithUke decided to bring a concert-goer onto the stage to entertain the audience as he prepared for his next performance. As the newcomer went on stage, they were also met with cheers and excitement, showcasing the supportive community BoyWithUke has created for fans. Soon enough, the artist came back to perform a few songs including “Bad Things,” where he smashed his ukulele, and “King of Nothing,” where he destroyed a mannequin labeled “TOBI.” He also performed an unreleased track called “Can You Feel It” -- essentially using these songs to help mark a new era for the artist.
