A Unique Spotlight Shines for ChoCo, the Rising Pre-Debut Idol Group of K-Pop's 5th Generation
The 5th generation of K-Pop is taking the world by storm with fresh groups and innovative ideas — ChoCo from ChoCo Entertainment is one of the rising stars to keep an eye on. This four-member group is generating buzz ahead of their debut, and we can't wait to see what they have in store for their fans!

ChoCo consists of multinational trainees who will be debuting as a co-ed group and looking to follow in the footsteps of DSP Media's KARD while also following their own adaptation of the NCT sub-unit system, equally giving members their chance to shine. The upcoming group led by ChoCo Entertainment’s Junghun Cho, also known as ChoPD and a renowned producer in the K-Pop industry, is currently comprised of three sub-units and four members: Jake, who is the leader of the male sub-unit ChoCo1, TJ, and Sean, who are also part of ChoCo1, and Anpan, who is the leader of the female sub-unit ChoCo2. Lastly, the two leaders form a sub-unit together as ChoCo1&2.

On June 1, ChoCo1&2 released the music video for their new single “Fruity Loops (515 Version),” which has surpassed 1 million views on YouTube (as of June 28). The catchy beats and rhythmic bass paired with colorful visuals and eye-catching scenes complement the energy and passion expressed by ChoCo1&2. The duo had the thrilling opportunity to perform their song at M COUNTDOWN, raising curiosity for their future debut.
ChoCo is receiving enthusiastic traction within the K-Pop community through their Mnet reality show ChoCo in Hollywood, inviting viewers to learn of the member’s backstories, debut journeys, and more. These seven episodes showcase the group’s ambitious fervor towards all things music, dance, and ultimately, debuting. The young talents train as trainees in Hollywood as they venture into the music industry and develop their artistry.
Furthermore, the show offers a glimpse into ChoCo Entertainment’s innovative “artist incubation system” for trainees, as it refers to ChoCo’s experiences of completing schedules and managing industry pressures that are equivalent to a debut group’s schedules to better assimilate and prepare for their official debut activities. So far, the members of the exciting pre-debut group have accumulated valuable experience, taking part in activities like filming official music videos and performing on stage.
